Easy Cousin Itt Halloween costume for kids

Fans of the Adams Family will remember Cousin Itt as the short little fellow with all the hair. Making a Cousin Itt costume would be quite easy since his entire body was covered with a long flowing mass of blond hair. Cousin Itt also wore a derby hat, sunglasses and gloves. This Halloween costume works best on small kids due to the smaller amount of wigs needed.

Materials:

A sheet for the head and body.

Extra long blonde costume hair wig

Cheap round kids sunglasses

Derby costume hat

White costume gloves

Instructions

Start by making a basic sheet ghost kids Halloween costume.

Drape an old white sheet over the child's head. Make felt tip marker centered dots where the eyes and mouth will be. Mark the spot where the sunglasses will go through the sheet and over the ears as well. Use the same marker to make a dotted cutting line around the bottom of the sheet about 6 inches above the ground for safety.

Take the sheet off the child. Cut out eye holes the size of the sunglasses lenses. Cut the mouth hole the same size for breathing. Cut slits where the sunglasses bows will slide through the sheet onto the ears. Don't worry, the hair will cover the hole when the costume is complete. Cut the excess length off the sheet.

Drape the sheet back over the child. Drape the wig over the sheet. Place the sunglasses on the child, sliding the bows through the slits and over the child's ears. It may be necessary to glue or pin the wig onto the sheet for stability.
