 Imagine yourself as a visitor to your own haunted house. Suddenly, a seemingly faceless man comes out of the shadows. His silent demeanor is bone chilling. Since you can't see his expression, his intentions are unclear. He seems to be following you but you can't be sure. Soon he's joined by more silent faceless figures. You scream and run for the nearest exit, but they're close on your heels. Will you escape?

Who are these faceless men?

If yours is a simple home haunted house, they could be your kids, your spouse, relatives or neighbors. If you're constructing and operating a commercial haunted house, they could be your employees. In either case, follow the instructions below to dress your faceless men.

Faceless face

Making a faceless man face for your haunted house workers is cheap and easy. All you need is a large black stocking leg or black mesh fabric and a black hood. Most people have a black hood lying around from another Halloween costume. If not, they're fairly cheap to buy. Some even come with the faceless option built in. If not, the faceless man hood is so simple to put together. Just put the black stocking or mesh over the person's head and slip on the hood. Their face will be invisible in the dark haunted house.

Costume

The faceless men for your haunted house will need more than a head. You can use a plain black robe or cape for the rest of the outfit. If you have no hood, drape a plain black sheet or cape over the stocking face, covering their entire head and body, leaving an opening for sight.

Behavior

The faceless man speaks not a word as he roams the halls of the Halloween haunted house. When he encounters a guest, he follows them throughout the rest of the tour. He may disappear occasionally but he always reappears and begins following the frightened guest again. He may be joined by other faceless men or he may remain a solitary figure. As the faceless men follow their victims through the haunted house, they may carry other scary haunted house props. You can purchase cheap axes, chainsaws and other worrisome items for your faceless men at Halloween or big box stores for a reasonable price. Buying props for your faceless men at close out or end of season prices is wise. After all, Halloween comes every year.
